CALIFORNICATION – LOS ANGELES EXPEDITION

July 15, 2012 in Share an Experience, TRAVEL

Los Angeles, the most populous city of California. Some call is the New York of the West. The Experience Blog took a trip to this magnificent city and explored its interiors. We have a list of recommendations for anyone thinking about heading in that direction anytime soon. And for those who have been there, feel free to SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE of what a great time you might have had in Los Angeles.

Runyon Canyon:

Runyon Canyon is a 3.5 mile loop trail. It offers scenic views of the city of Los Angeles and an exercise ground for many local folks. We trekked through the trail on foot and made it to the very top where we felt as if we conquered the city. It was quite beautiful and a definite must go once you visit Los Angeles.

Griffith Park:

Griffith Park is one of the largest urban parks in North America, covering 4,310 acres. It is located at the Eastern end of the Santa Monica mountains and is known for its observatory, where one can view the stars on a clear night. We hiked up the trail to the observatory and the sight was one to behold. This is another must go when you makeyour way through the city of Los Angeles.

Mr. Chows:

Mr. Chow’s offers an exquisite dining experience in Los Angeles. Order the satay chicken. It is a must for the salivating mouth. The menu is a bit pricey, but you won’t regret making your way to this restaurant.

Rodeo Drive:

Have you ever been to New York? Well for those who have, Rodeo Drive is the equivalent to Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side in New York. This avenue offers a high end shopping experience in stores like Ralph Lauren, Prada, Gucci, Yves St. Laurent and Brooks Brothers. Even if you don’t plan on emptying your wallets, you must check out the displays. You will feel like your on an episode of the Kardashians.

West Hollywood:

This part of LA is very chic and for the young at heart. With exercise facilities, great dining spots and hotel with dope views, West Hollywood reminds us of Soho in New York. We actually stayed in a hotel in this neighborhood and what a central and convenient choice we made!

Venice Beach:

Venice Beach is beautiful and stretches for miles. One feels such at peace when you’re on the beach. We enjoyed the art work and beach hustlers. Between the marijuana dispensaries and the crashing waves, you can’t go wrong spending a whole day here.

Boulevard 3 Night Club

As if the scenic routes weren’t enough, LA’s night life also proved to be worthy of honorable mention. Our friends took us out for a night of fun. I was surprised that the night club was set up half outdoors and half indoors. The ambience screamed sexy chic fun. It was so much fun and a must go on your next trip to LA.

Now guys, please don’t crucify me for not mentioning other interesting finds in Los Angeles. We did go out to many night clubs and day affairs; however, we were only there for a few days and anticipate discovering more of this city. SHARE YOUR Los Angeles EXPERIENCES now!
